Activities & Events
At Harrison Senior Living, arts and entertainment events as well as specially designed activities are an integral part of our residents’ care. Our dedicated and energetic professionals know that a structured day provides residents with a sense of accomplishment and value. Our programs are designed to promote physical and emotional wellness and to encourage social interaction.
There is something for everyone. Residents of our Kent unit work with the Activities Department to design a flexible schedule that provides free time for their personal activities and spontaneous trips or events. These independent residents help to design this schedule. Residents who are cognitively challenged respond more positively with a familiar and structured program of activities. Our highly trained and experienced staff carefully organizes a schedule that retains and enhances cognitive, physical and social abilities. Residents are grouped according to their cognition level and the activities shown here are then adapted for the abilities of each group.
Families of our residents and citizens of the Georgetown area are welcome to attend regular meetings of the Alzheimer’s Support Group of Harrison Senior Living. Held at our Georgetown facility on the second Monday of each month, the meetings are from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
